Child Safety Month October – For Your Home

As children grow, so does their curiosity with their surroundings. One of the hidden dangers for young children in our home are dangling cords on your window treatments. October is considered the Nationwide Window Cord Safety Month to bring public awareness to these dangers.

The window treatments that have a cord loop can be a strangulation hazard. Cord loops should be securely fastened to the wall with an approved tension device. 

Instead of dangerous cord loop operating systems, replace them with these methods instead:

• Cord-free window treatments
• Motorization
• Wand control
• Shutters
